Express Models Head and Tail Lights

DCC Locomotive Lights - 4mm Scale
Head and Tail lights for Diesel and Electric 4mm scale locomotives. Can be operated by 2 or 4 function decoders. 4 function decoders allow tail lights to be switched off independently when the locomotive is at the head of a train. All headlights where applicable are high intensity white LEDs.

'LIGHTSTORE' LOCOMOTIVE HEAD AND TAIL LIGHTS
We have introduced a new range of Diesel and Electric locomotive head and tail lights which incorporate our new 'Lightstore' system. 15 to 20 seconds on the track under power will store enough power to run the lights for approx. 2 minutes when the power is turned off. This will ensure that the lights will not go out when making station/signal stops etc. As no batteries are utilised in this system no extra charging is required.
Where a locomotive has headlights these are supplied as high intensity white headlights.

Head & Tail Lights- White Headlight versions.
This section contains White headlight versions of our Standard track powered 4mm scale head and tail lights.
It includes all types of locomotives which have high intensity headlights. These are represented by new technology high brightness white LEDs.
Please note that many of the former Lima range are now produced by Hornby under their own brand. The Lima head and tail units will fit the new Hornby versions.

Head/Tail Lights Double Ended Locos
Directional head and tail light units for diesel locomotives taking power directly from the track. The track polarity determines the directional lighting ensuring that the head and marker lights are always at the front of the train and the tail lights are always at the rear. Headlights where applicable are yellow in this section.
These units are supplied fully assembled and only require two soldered connections to the motor terminals.
Please note that many of the former Lima range are now produced by Hornby under their own brand. Our Lima lighting units will fit the new Hornby produced versions.

Head/Tail Lights - Single Ended Locos & Power Cars
These head and tail lights are for standard DC controlled locomotives with yellow headlights where applicable.
This section lists all the single ended versions, i.e. class 156, class 43 HST etc.

Working oil type head and tail lights, battery or track powered. Also flashing battery powered tail lights.

Tail Lights and lightstore for Bachmann Class 37
Tail lights for the Bachmann class 37 diesel with instructions for DC and DCC.
Lightstore units for Bachmann Class 37 using original lights.

Lima GWR Railcar Head/Tail Lights

This Unit is Supplied with scale oil tyoe red Lamps for each end of the rail car and a yellow lamp for each end to be fitted into one of the dummy lamp in the body of the rail car.

The Operating unit is connected in the roof and controls the directional indication of the lamps.

Pushpull Head & Tail Lights - 4mm Scale

This unit is designed for steam pushpull trains with autocoach. It comprises two red and two yellow 'oil type' lamps, pickups for autocoach, and two directional operating units

BI-Colour DMU Head and Tail Lights - 4mm Scale

The following units represent those DMUs that have head and tail lights combined in the same lamp housing. The units include two bi-colour red/yellow lamps which fit into the moulded lamp housing on the front of each cab. They automatically change colour according to the direction of travel. A pwered and unpowered unit are required for a complete DMU set except EXH/T17 for lima class 121 Bubble car which has lights for both ends of the single car DMU.

DMU Head and Tail Lights with Oil Type Tail Lamps

These Units have two headlights and one oil type lamp together with a directional operating unit. Two units are required for a complete DMU set.
